Altrincham classes are in the beautiful light and leafy St.George's Parish Hall, sunny in the summer, warm and well heated in the winter.

Tuesdays 6.15pm - 7.15pm

INTRODUCTION TO YOGA //DROP-IN

A very gentle introduction to yoga and breathing. Working on the sun salutes to stretch the spine and stimulate an energetic connection, then working on gently moving from posture to posture with a continuous breath. Guided relaxation techniques to finish. This class is ideal for those who have never done yoga before.

As Yoga is a slow evolution and is by no means a quick fix, we encourage students to sign-up for six weeks at £32 if this is not possible a drop-in is £6.

Tuesdays 7.30pm - 9.00pm

ASHTANGA YOGA //DROP-IN

Working with the flow and alignment of yoga asanas (postures) we will explore the different techniques of the ashtanga system, paying particular attention to breath and bandhas (energy connections in the core of the body). A more challenging pace and more postures than 6.30 class. Cost £7 per session or £39 for 6 weeks. Beginners are welcome.

SELF PRACTICE CLASS //MYSORE STYLE

Help your yoga practice move to another level of understanding. Self Practice is the traditional form of teaching the ashtanga yoga method as taught by the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. Rather than following the instructions of a teacher, you practice at your own pace whilst the teacher gives individual guidance and adjustments to each student where necessary. Each student is given a personal practice according to age and ability. Specific pranayamas will be given to improve conditions of body and mind. This is a small group with focused and individual attention.

Private Yoga Classes

Private classes

A private one-to-one session is tailored made to suit your own individual needs. It is an ideal opportunity to take the practice at your own pace and the most ideal way to learn yoga. Sessions can be designed to concentrate on the more therapeutic nature of breathing and postures. It is also an ideal way of learning the ashtanga system of hatha yoga. Yoga can help still the mind and strengthen the body, improving concentration and focus. Every private session includes a free session on the imrs energy mat, helping aching joints and muscles and rejuvenating your energy. You also have free access to Tuesdays classes, giving you every opportunity to bring your body back into balance and harmony. Privates start at £30/hour.

Private groups are an ideal opportunity to practice in your own time, in your own space. The minimum charge for a group of up to 4 is £60 for an hour and a half. We can concentrate on any aspects of yoga, stress relief, core stability, breathing or meditation.
